I am a Senior Art Director/UX Designer based in San Diego. I am formerly from Chicago where I have worked in the marketing and advertising industry for the past 12 years. I am skilled in web and print based design and I love photography. I find value and enjoy working with all kinds of teams and individuals. It’s important to partake in brainstorming and assisting in elevating ideas. Throughout my career as a designer I have learned the value of exploration and how it is essential for any project big or small. Whether it’s exploring my own capabilities or exploring my environment, there is something to learn.
Directive Design is based off the idea of an inner compass that guides me, not only in life but in my creative choices. This inner compass continuously guides my passion for design and exploration. The universe has found ways to change my path and in result changed how I approach my work and how I live and see life.
I am fortunate I have had the opportunity of working with a range of clients over the years. Each client and project has guided me in different directions and allowed me to think differently or work with new people. That constant change of pace and projects has allowed me to be good at multitasking and being flexible. Whether it’s starting from the initial project kick-off and bringing it into fruition, or hopping in somewhere in the middle, I know I am capable of getting that project where it needs to go.
My passion for design, photography, and exploration makes me a curious art director. I am always wanting to learn from others and about new tricks of the trade. I by no means consider myself the best designer you’ll ever meet, but I am one of the hardest working ones. A work ethic my parents instilled in me as a child, never give up until you get it right.
I am always able and willing to participate in campaign development, brainstorming, process and planning, also assisting in team management and delegation and pretty much anything thrown my way. Follow on through to the rest of my site and see a sampling of how I’ve put my exploration and design skills to work.
